This is where the question of risk and reward comes in. Does the potential risk of bringing danger into play, be it trees or hazards, outweigh the potential reward? Next time you’re standing on the tee, weigh up the potential risks and rewards of pulling out your driver. Don’t just think about avoiding doubles and trebles, consider the potential birdie or scoring 3-points. Likewise, if you struggle with a particular tee-shot, think about alternative ways to play that hole.
