Hole in one alert
As many of you know, Professionals Jack and Stephen are away this week playing some golf in warmer climates.
On the first round of golf on their trip, Stephen “Toppo” Topping accomplished a superb hole-in-one! It was a great shot with the ball landing just inches away before smashing into the hole. This was Toppo’s fourth hole-in-one, Well done. Make sure you buy everyone a drink when you get back. Click here to see Toppo’s celebration recorded on video.

Prize time - After Stephen’s fourth ace, can you guess how many hole-in-one’s in total our professional team have had? The nearest answer will WIN a free sleeve of golf balls. Click here to submit your answer.

Captains Drive In
Last weekend was the start of our brand-new Captains. Firstly, we would like to say a massive thank you to our departing Captains Viv and Andy, you have both done an amazing job and will be tough acts to follow. We would also like to wish our new Captains Hugh and Anne-Marie all the best with their captaincies.
|
As many of you know, Hugh recently had a nasty injury to his leg, which unfortunately meant he could not hit his official drive in tee shot. Luckily for Hugh, Professional Jack Frances was on hand to take his place, dressed up in a policeman outfit and urging the spectators to make some noise, Jack tried to replicate a Ryder cup atmosphere. Unfortunately, his tee shot did replicate a similar standard. Click here to watch Jack’s tee shot, and be sure to ask him where it ended up.
It was a fantastic day nonetheless and everyone looked like they had a great time.

Driving Range update
We’ve had lots of people recently ask about our new Driving Range, the work being carried out already looks absolute spectacular.
Most of the land fill has been dropped, with the sculpting work now taking place and the new water feature by the 11th green being developed.
We can’t wait to see how it turns out and we are positive this will make us potentially the best facility in North London, exciting times ahead.

Price Match Promise
Have you seen some great prices online that seem unbeatable in the Pro Shop? We price match everything you see online and often beat their prices! If there is anything you are looking at buying, drop in and ask us what we can do, it will only save you money! We also offer a golf club trade in service where we can get rid of your old clubs to save you money on some new ones that will be sure to improve your game. We pride ourselves on providing a personal VIP service to members and all visitors, so why not see what we can do for you? |

Do you need new spikes? Winter brings with it rain, which makes the ground beneath your feet softer and more slippery. If your spikes are worn or even missing, keeping a stable base during your swing will be much harder and you'll be more prone to slipping. To avoid destructive shots like these, come in-store and take advantage of our Shoe MOT promotion, where you can get new spikes fitted for half price! |

Sometimes it's nice to reminisce about the good times. When it comes to golf, the days of persimmon woods, small clubheads and hitting balls which were hard as a rock are long gone - but it can help to take a trip down memory lane to remind us of just how much technology has developed, particularly in the case of drivers. |
Time tunnel
Take Srixon for example; you might have been lucky enough to own its 'revolutionary' W-506 driver way back in 2006. A 450cc clubhead, no adjustability and a titanium construction meant the W-506 was possibly one of the most intimidating clubs on the market - which made it even sweeter when you crushed one right down the middle. Fast-forward to the present day and Srixon has released its most technologically advanced driver to date in the form of Z 785. Its lightweight carbon crown is far more forgiving than the W-506's titanium equivalent, and the Quick Tune system on the Z 785 means you can adjust the club to your individual swing, giving you straighter, longer drives off the tee. So, whilst it's nice to think about your first ever driver, it's probably time to get up to speed with the latest models such as the Z 785. Who knows? Maybe in another 10 years time, you'll be looking back on the Z 785 with as much fondness as the W-506! |
