Aim Point Class Jack, Stephen, Nicholas and Spencer Davis all attended an Aim Point Express class last Friday at Woburn Golf Club. Aim Point is an easier way to read greens through slope rather than guessing a line. Aim point is currently being used on tour by many players on the European and PGA Tour. They attended this class to improve their green reading and the changes were effective straight away. Aim Point takes the guessing out of green reading to give you a very accurate read on the greens. |
|
Jack will be organising another date with Aim Point at Woburn soon. If you are interested in attending the class, click here for more information or come speak to us in the shop. |
Glen turns on the heat at Hendon Glen Portelli shot a bogey-free round of 64 to land the Hendon Pro-Am by three shots. Glen was the first player out and revelled in perfect conditions, building a score of six-under par. The first of his birdies arrived at the opening hole and he was four-under through eight.
Glen was rock solid on the back nine, picking up strokes on the 12th and 14th on his way to setting a clubhouse target that no one could get near. Mark Talbott (Thorpe Hall) secured second spot on his own, thanks to a 67. Aaron Cox (Elsenham Golf & Leisure) and Luke Goddard (Hendon) were a further stroke back to share third place.

Have a FREE grip on us! Yes that’s right, we’ll re-grip your 7-iron with the new Golf Pride CP2 grip. This grip is the 2nd best selling in the Golf Pride range. This is because of its very soft feel in the hands but also has a core in the top of the club to reduce the feeling of off centred hits. If you want a free grip pop in to the professional shop and well fit one whilst you wait.

Battery Trade-In ends this Sunday If you haven't taken advantage of this promotion yet then you only have a few days left to get £25 OFF a new Lithium battery when you trade-in your old battery. Just to remind you, Lithium batteries charge quicker, last longer and work out far cheaper in the long run than standard Lead Acid alternatives. What are you waiting for? |

Perfect for cooler rounds Yes, we've enjoyed a record-breaking Early May Bank Holiday weekend without a sweater in sight, but the reality is temperatures will soon get a little cooler over the coming days. To combat the chill whilst on the course, especially early mornings or late evenings, consider a ProQuip quilted windproof, which provide lightweight warmth whilst blocking out any wind. |

Let’s face it: we all want to hit the ball further. Being able to hit longer drives gives you less club into the green, making everything that little bit easier. There are many ways you can try and generate more power during your swing, and nearly all of them start from the ground up. |
Trust your footwear Despite his small frame, tour star Rickie Fowler is renowned for his power. As you can see in the three images above, he pushes off from his right foot through impact and relies on great grip and stability to ensure the power his body is creating doesn’t come at the cost of control. Having a strong base is something we should all aspire for. The Under Armour Spieth 2 can help you do this thanks to its unique Rotational Resistance cleats that will give you traction in every direction across all terrains. |
