Two's Sweep
This week we are giving one member 15 golf balls, which is the most we've given away so far! For his birdie on the 10th hole, the winner is Paul Anderson! Congratulations Paul, however unfortunately due to the club's internet system being down we have been unable to post the results from the Sunday Stableford.
The Legend of "Magic" Mike Ready
Old Fold legend Mike Ready won last week on the UK Senior Golf Association. The event was held at Seacroft Golf Club in Skegness and Magic Mike shot great scores of 74 and 70 to take glory in windy conditions. Mike now leads the Senior Order of Merit, however Mike said his success has been helped by the team of Professionals here at Old Fold Manor.
Mike said "The team at Old Fold have really helped me start the season well". Mike has utilised the professionals well and the impact has been immediate, "Glen has been on hand helping me with my swing, Stephen has fitted me for a 3-wood which is phenomenal and Jack has been encouraging me to practice more".
Well done Mike and good luck in your next event.
Glen and Jack at Crews Hill
Last Friday Head Professionals Jack Frances and Glen Portelli competed in the annual Crews Hill Pro-Am. The Old Fold Pros represented the club with great scores, Glen finished tied for third with a 67 and Jack finished sixth with a bogey free 68. Glen's team of Muswell Hill members also won the team prize.
If you would like to play with an Old Fold Professional in a Pro-Am we have now placed a list of our Pro-Am schedule on the club competition board. The list contains all remaining Pro-Am's for 2017, if you would like to play please write your name on the sheet. There are plenty of great days out so be quick to avoid disappointment. New Callaway Epic Irons
This week we received the latest addition to the Callaway Epic family. The new Callaway Epic irons are being marked as a "game changer" in the golf industry. To find out if this was true we sent Head Professional Jack Frances into the studio to test.
